Philippians Typhoon Assistance for Residents

Here is an open letter from Ruth of Craftaholic. She is in the Philippians and although she is unhurt, she would like if we would let people know how they can help those affected by the storm.

 Hi Julie and Blu,

I hope you had a lovely weekend. I am writing to ask a favor from you. I'm not sure if the guild's forum or the guild's blog is an appropriate place to ask for a little help for the victims of the horrible typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda). As you can see I am from the Philippines. I and my family were not affected by the typhoon.

Our area was not directly hit. I thank God for that. We're trying our best to help out.

You might have read the news or have seen the catastrophe on the media. It's overwhelming!

The victims need all the help they can get. Even a dollar can go a looong way... it can buy 10 gallons of drinking water or a pack of bandages or 3 packs of instant noodles. I know there are a lot of people who are willing and must be thinking how they can help. Please, if it's okay, post the list of the sites of organizations below. Some of them accepts Paypal so it's very convenient for anyone around the world to help. There's no such thing as a "useless penny"... every help counts.

Thanks in advance. Let's all be safe. Let us all be thankful every waking day of our lives.
 Best regards Ruth
