Your first impression will be the title of your item, so you need to load up that title with your keywords and repeat those keywords again in the first paragraph of your descriptions. When you title your item, try to think like a buyer and title it what YOU would use to look for when looking for a product.
Use rich, descriptive content to engage Google in your product. The longer the description, the better. Yes, it can seem daunting, but there is a workshop that will help you write better copy.

Your pictures will need to sell your items since people can't pick them up and touch them. Here is a terrific help guide that Tony wrote, Photography Q&A.
Remember that it may take a while for google to crawl your shop here.Promote, promote, promote. Facebook, StumbleUpon, Pinterest, Wanelo, Twitter, join a guild, pass out business cards, etc.
It's a lot of work, but you can do it!
